Prior to CMG, he was General Manager for Cox Target Media’s largest company owned franchise. After negotiating options to purchase the franchise upon successful turnaround, he was able to restructure the business which was losing over $1 million on $6 million in sales, and turn it into a profitable $10 million dollar business in three years.
Before Cox Target Media, Marc held a variety of high level sales and marketing positions which included Vice President of Sales for Fanfare Media Works and Advo Inc., the nation’s leading direct mail company with over $1 billion in sales.

Together with Marc, Peter leads the company's efforts to build out the Mass. Burger business and the team in Massachusetts.
Prior to Lyris, Peter was founder and managing partner of The Cowper Group, a Boston-based corporate development consulting firm focused on small to mid-market technology companies seeking to augment their growth through acquisitions. Working with both venture-backed and public companies, including Cinema Marketing Group, Peter actively assisted clients with transaction sourcing, execution, and integration.

Most recently, he founded and built SevenSpace into the fastest-growing
private company in the Metro DC region, leading the IT services firm
from start-up to $25 million in revenue in less than four years,
resulting in its sale to Sun Microsystems. After orchestrating the
sale of the company to Sun Microsystems, he was brought on board to
lead the integration and was quickly promoted to Senior Vice President
of the $5 billion Services Group at Sun.
Peter’s background in private equity investment lends credibility and
expertise to his leadership of start-up and expanding growth ventures.
For two years he was Vice President at The Carlyle Group, one of the
nation’s premier private equity firms, where he managed the IT services
portfolio. Previously, upon being selected for the prestigious Kauffman
Fellows Program, he worked with Spectrum Equity Investors for an
intensive year-long internship.

Bill Ranney
Bill Ranney is a seasoned senior financial executive with a long proven track record of success in both large and small companies. Bill led Mass. Burger's initial debt financing efforts and continues to work closely with the organization on financial planning and analysis. He is also Chief Financial Officer of Carpathia Hosting.
As CFO for the IT Services start-up, SevenSpace, he drove the company to profitability within 24 months, during which time he orchestrated two acquisitions, rigorous management controls and multiple rounds of financing. Following four years of increasing sales and profits, he worked closely with the SevenSpace CEO to manage the sale of SevenSpace to Sun Microsystems. Subsequently, Ranney supervised the successful integration of SevenSpace into Sun’s Service Group and managed the planning and operations for the $5 Billion Services Management Group.
Bill has also held numerous senior finance positions over 15 years at Verizon, including vice president of its $1+ Billion directory publishing business and vice president responsible for the construction and launching of Verizon’s long distance voice and data network. He also participated in several acquisitions and new business start-ups at Verizon.
